Debark University attended a gathering at the Austrian Embassy – September 22, 2025

The Austrian Embassy in Addis Ababa brought together alumni, industry leaders, and partners for a truly impactful session focused on education, science, and culture. Ambassador Dr. Simone Knapp warmly welcomed the attendees and officially opened the event, highlighting both current and future areas of cooperation with Ethiopia. She also noted the celebration of the 120th anniversary of Ethiopia-Austria diplomatic relations.

Debark University, represented by its president, explored opportunities for future collaboration with Austrian higher education institutions. The Embassy, through the Austrian Development Agency, also reaffirmed its longstanding support for the Simien Mountains National Park.
