Debark University’s Institutional Research Ethics Review Committee (IREC) has been officially Level B registered (IREC 03/22) by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education, effective October 20, 2025!

This milestone—achieved through staff training back in January 2025, member selection, the development of Standard Operating Procedures, and a rigorous application process—cements our commitment to ethical and world-class research.
