Debark University Hosts Workshop on International Opportunities for Female Academics
On May 14, 2025, Debark University held a hybrid workshop to promote international scholarship opportunities for female instructors and technical staff.
Mr. Marew Abebe, Director of Research and Partnerships, gave an in-person talk on global scholarships and application tips. Guest speaker Eskedar Getie Mekonnen, a PhD student at the University of Adelaide, joined virtually to share her personal scholarship journey and practical advice.
Eskedar highlighted the importance of a strong CV, professional communication, and connecting with potential PhD supervisors. She also shared resources on major Australian scholarships.
The session sparked active discussion and strong engagement from participants.
