
Students who took digital skill training for the last two months have certified
Certified students showed what they acquired and learned through proposing and developing software.
The vice president of research and community service professor Tesema Zewdu said that time highly demands well advanced technology, and our University has shown its effort on advancing technology in Girls Can Code project and STEM power. What we are celebrating now is an indication for this effort. The professor added that it is undeniable what females did on digital technology transformation beside on other social responsibilities they carried on. On his opening speech, the professor said that our graduates are young who will contribute much for their country beside their own lives. Professor Tesema Zewdu finally warmly congratulate for certified students.
Mr. Yonatan Kelem, the delegated director of information communication technology (ICT) directorate on his side reported that students who are engaged in this program are forty in number are from Dabat and Debark. He said that students took a diagnoses test before they joined the program. The program included basic computer skills, data communication, computer networking and programming. Mr. Yonatan acknowledged lectures who taught students, his staff members and other stack holders who were volunteer on running this program.
Selected trained girls presented their project works for the audience on their group representatives. On their presentation, the project titles which were raised have got appreciation from the audience. The participant suggested that the projects what they are presented are clear indication how students were active and engaged on the lessons, and it should be taken as good finding and good project proposal for the next consquative years.
The progarm were run on information communication technology directorate in collaboration with females, youth and anti HIV/AIDS directorate.
