
Debark University Holds Internal Curriculum Review and Validation Workshop
The College of Natural and Computational Sciences at Debark University conducted an internal curriculum review and validation workshop on May 28, 2025. The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce new undergraduate programs in Software Engineering and Geology.



In his opening remarks, Dr. Gashaw Gismu, Vice President for Academic Research, Technology Transfer, and Community Service, emphasized the significance of the proposed programs. He also reaffirmed the university’s long-term vision of establishing a dedicated College of Engineering. Dr. Gashaw encouraged faculty members to engage actively in the curriculum review process.
The workshop included presentations of needs assessment studies prepared by subject-specific committees. Faculty participants offered valuable feedback, which will be incorporated into the revised curriculum documents to be submitted for external evaluation.
