College of Social Science
Background
Debark university, officially opened in 2010 E.C, is one of the fourth generation universities in the country. The university has four colleges, one of which being the College of Social Sciences.
MISSION
The college, being one wing of the university, is playing its part in the materialization of the holistic mission of the university; that is, the teaching-learning, research and community engagement. Debark, generally “the Semein”, where the university is based, is known for its highland agriculture, dependable tourism, and rich but unveiled culture; and the university is seeking to excel in these aspects, and the college of social sciences is striving to outshine in the humanistic elements.
