About Directors
As the Director of Technology Transfer and Community Service Directorate, my role is pivotal in bridging the gap between innovation and societal impact. I oversee the process of transforming research and technological advancements into practical applications that benefit the community and drive economic growth. This involves identifying promising technologies developed within our institution, assessing their market potential, and facilitating their commercialization through partnerships with industry and startups.
In my position, I collaborate with researchers, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders to create awareness of available technologies, ensuring that intellectual property is protected while promoting responsible use. I also lead initiatives to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing support and resources to innovators and local businesses.
Additionally, I oversee community service projects that align with our organization’s mission, focusing on educational outreach, sustainability, and health initiatives. These projects aim to empower community members, enhance quality of life, and create a culture of innovation and collaboration.
My leadership role also involves strategic planning, budget management, and evaluation of ongoing projects to ensure they meet defined objectives and yield measurable outcomes. By fostering a collaborative environment, I ensure that knowledge and technology are effectively transferred, enabling both immediate community benefits and long-term societal advancements. Ultimately, my goal is to harness the potential of technology to create meaningful change while strengthening the bond between our institution and the communities we serve.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and create enabling environments for individuals, groups, departments, schools, faculties or colleges to provide community engagements.
- Make regular follow-ups and monitor Technology transfer and Community Engagement activates and submit report to the concerned body.
- Receive complaints and take the necessary measures, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University.
- Develop a strategic plan for University Technology Transfer and Community Engagements.
